Battle for round 4, table 9
Battle plan: The Slaughterbrand
“Roaring overhead, this carmine comet is surely an ill-omen. Its fragmenting tail lingers like a weeping wound in the night sky and the lands it visits are wrought with murderous fury.”
Victory Condition
At the end of each battle round, each player totals the points values of enemy fighters taken down in that battle round. The result is their blood tally. Players score 1VP for each of the following that is true:
-Your blood tally is greater than zero.
-Your blood tally is greater than your opponent’s blood tally.
-Your bloody tally is more than double your opponent’s blood tally.
Blood tallies are reset to zero at the start of each battle round.
The battle ends after 4 battle rounds. When the battle ends, the player with the most victory points wins the battle. Any other result is a draw.
Twist: The Skies Darken: The battlefield is divided into quarters as shown on the deployment map.
At the start of each combat phase, if one player has fewer victory points than their opponent, that player picks a quarter of the battlefield and all fighters wholly within that quarter become blood frenzied for the rest of the battle round.
A blood frenzied fighter increases the attack and strength values of their melee attacks by 1.
Additionally, the first time in a battle round that a fighter is taken down during a blood frenzied fighter’s activation, mark that fallen fighter as blood-gored. Only one fighter can be blood-gored in a single battle round. A blood-gored fighter’s blood tally value is double their standard points value (including blessings).
