Who are the greatest vampire hunters of them all? That's the wager between the Crimson Court and the Askurgan Trueblades. Drawn to the lands of Ghur by the promise of slaking their thirst on mighty beasts, the Crimson Court come across an ancient Askurgan monastery. The abbot Wu Song and Prince Duvalle debate the nature of the soulblight curse, culminating in a challenge to prove their respective philosophy: who can slay the mightiest beasts in combat. Will the unbridled bloodlust of the Court or the restrained discipline of the Trueblades be victorious? 3 members of each band and a faithful hunting wolf descend on the wilderness to find out.
