• Battle plan: Gnarlpelt hunt

Deep in the Gnarlwoods you finally track down a pack of Gnarlwood Hyenas. Their pelts are coveted trade
goods, that can net you a small fortune back home. But you must act fast, before other hunters snatch your
prize.

Place 4 Gnarlwood Hyenas on the battlefield as indicated by the black dots. Then place a Packleader as indicated by the red middle dot.

At the end of each battle round, each player scores 1 VP for each of the following that is true:
- One or more enemy fighters were taken down in that
battle round.
- More enemy fighters than friendly fighters were taken
down in that battle round.
- For each enemy fighter with the Hero, Ally or Monster
runemark that are taken down.*
- For each Gnarlwood Hyena or Packleader that are taken
down.*
* These victory points can be scored in battle rounds subsequent to the ones in which those fighters were taken
down. For example, if a fighter with both the Ally and Hero runemarks was taken down in the first battle round,
the opponent of that fighter would score 8 victory points by the end of the battle, unless that fighter was somehow returned to the battlefield and not taken down.

The battle ends after 4 battle rounds, and the player with the most points is the winner. A tied score results in a
draw.

GNARLWOOD HYENAS

Whenever a players’ activation ends, check every Hyena that has not already activated. If it can either attack or make a move and then attack any fighter, it will activate. If there are more than one Hyena able to activate, the player who did not just end their turn, decides which Hyena should activate.

When a Hyena activates, take two actions. Each action should be either:

- If within range of a fighter, make an attack
- Otherwise move towards nearest fighter

If none of the above are possible, the Hyena just ends its activation and will not activate again.
