Battle plan: Buried Alive

Primary Victory Condition
At the end of each battle round, each player totals the points values of their own fighters that were taken down during that battle round. The player whose total is lower scores 2 VP. If both players’ totals are equal, neither player scores any VP.

Special Rule – The Crushing Depths
At the start of battle rounds 1–4, the catacombs collapse ever inward. Remove 3" from each short battlefield edge and 1" from each long battlefield edge. These areas are considered Collapsed. The Collapsed area is cumulative from battle round to battle round.
Any fighter within a Collapsed area at the end of that battle round is immediately taken down. This applies even to fighters with the Flying runemark.
During battle round 5, the catacombs no longer advance, though the existing Collapsed area remains in effect.

Twist
Whenever a fighter is taken down after falling into a pit or as a result of The Crushing Depths, the opposing player immediately scores 1 VP.
Fighters taken down in this way do not contribute their points values towards the Primary Victory Condition.
